VACATION HOME and investment property DESIGN

Travel is a luxury that we all invest time and money into to create the best experiences and memories for ourselves and our loved ones. Where we choose to stay, whether at a boutique resort or a private home, should provide you with the comforts and style that meet or exceed what you’re accustomed to in your own home. My family and I enjoy traveling around the globe and I take a lot of pride in curating amazing trips and beautiful lodging for all of us to enjoy. If you’re creating a vacation home for your family or as an investment property, that home should be curated toe those amazing memories for all who stay there.

  • A vacation home should be beautiful and fit the ethos of the surrounding area and the demographics of the people who will enjoy the property

  • A vacation home should create an experience that engages all of the senses of your guests

  • A vacation home should incorporate durable hospitality-grade furnishings and materials that will withstand the use of your guests, but also provide the luxury feel and style of an upscale resort

  • A vacation home should incorporate materials that will make housekeeping efficient and maintain a regular replacement and upgrade schedule for your property manager

I’ve stayed at many vacation rental properties over the years because it can be the most convenient option when traveling with larger groups. But, there is a definite dearth in the market for rental properties that create memorable experiences with beautiful interiors and concierge type amenities. Why not create a luxury experience that your guests would be delighted to pay extra for and return to year after year? We can help you curate every aspect of that property from the towels, linens and kitchen ware to the furnishings and artwork. We can also work with your property management team to help develop a marketing plan and amenities schedule.

Let the JSI team help you elevate your investment for your own enjoyment and the delight of your guests!

Project Design Phase

During the initial Project Design Phase, Jennifer will conduct a thorough review of your existing space and work with you to design a space plan that gives you the added functionality that you desire whether you are working within your current space, borrowing space from an adjacent area or adding on an addition. We have the ability to provide 3-D renderings of your space and the potential design to help you visualize our plan. Through computerized renderings, Jennifer and the team will walk you through the end result of your project with conceptual sketches and elevations.

Specifications Phase

Once your space plan is finalized, you will enter into the Specifications Phase. Jennifer will tackle the myriad of details that go into a construction or renovation project and will guide you in specifying every fixture, finish, and architectural detail that goes into your new kitchen or bathroom. We will make routine site visits to work with your contractor and subcontractors to address all installation, design, and product questions that arise.

Interior Decor Phase

The finishing touches are applied during the Interior Decor Phase. Jennifer can assist with all of the furnishings and finishing touches that will make your new kitchen or bathroom just perfect. We enjoy taking the stress out of design and giving back to our clients by spending time getting to know your lifestyle and creating a unique design with ease in mind.

Jennifer has helped me over several years with efforts both big and small. The first major project was my family room and it turned out beautifully. She coordinated all the work and all the furniture orders.

The second major project was my kitchen remodel which was done in 11 business days. Jennifer acted as the general contractor since I wasn’t changing the kitchen foot print, but my kitchen was gutted to the walls. She has excellent rapport with good contacts in all the different trades involved. She made sure everything was in place (i.e. custom cabinets were ready, granite reserved, appliances delivered) and schedules were agreed to before any work started. At the end of the 11 days, we still needed to order the back splash and the window treatments, but the kitchen was functioning and beautiful.

She has a great eye for color!
