Custom New Builds AND LARGE RENOVATIONS

Building your forever home? Or perhaps a second home by the water? Undertaking a new construction project or a whole house renovation can be overwhelming with the amount of decisions and details involved.

First … Get the design right on paper so that it’s not wrong in the field! It’s important to bring an interior designer into the process at the blueprint phase so that all the details can be developed early. It’s a lot easier to move a window on paper than after it’s installed.

Second … Hire a professional who has a passion to discover all the latest and greatest product developments and innovations by travelling to worldwide trade shows and vendor events. Your local showrooms will only show you what they have on their showroom floors, but we know that there is a whole world of amazing technologies and products available to incorporate into your next project. Jennifer has been to Spanish tile shows, Italian appliance showrooms and German kitchen and bath showcases, in addition to our annual KBIS (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) and IBS (International Builders Show) in the USA. Jennifer has also been hand picked to be one of the select few Best of KBIS 2023 judges.

Third … It takes a team of professionals who make it our mission to be sure that all the details are nailed down and to be on the jobsite to help keep the building process moving smoothly when you can’t be there in person. We work very closely to help support your building team and facilitate the decision making and selections process.

Jennifer was the reason our new home turned out so great! We downsized to a smaller home we custom built. She was awesome determining what furniture we should use from our prior home. Where Jennifer was truly an outstanding professional was in the design of our new home. The ceilings and custom features of our home are truly one of a kind. She and her staff were instrumental in all the decisions pertaining to the construction selections for our new home. Additionally she is decorating our new home with window treatments, furniture selections, wallpaper, etc. She is great to work with and listens to what the client wants. Jennifer is very creative!

My husband and I worked with Jennifer and her team on our ‘forever’ house. We interviewed a number of interior designers, but after Jennifer responded to our first meeting with a presentation of ‘this is what I heard you say’, it was clear that she ‘got’ us and from there it was an easy decision. We got JSI involved at the outset of the project and Jennifer worked collaboratively with the architectural team and added value at critical moments, both during the *design* of the home as well as in onsite construction walk-throughs. “Should the family room have beams?” “Do we carry the beams into the kitchen?” “Would the flow be better with one or two entry ways between these two rooms?” Many times, Jennifer presented ideas that carried the day.

There are hundreds of decisions to be made when designing and furnishing a home. From plumbing and lighting fixtures, cabinetry, countertops, and flooring to furniture selection/layout, textiles and paint colors — Jennifer made what would have been an overwhelming and stressful process for us, into an exciting and enjoyable experience. Jennifer accompanied us to showrooms and drew from her vendor network to present us with options for each decision. If we wanted to see more, she’d do additional research and serve up more ideas. Of note, several times Jennifer presented options that pushed us beyond what we thought we initially wanted, in our case to be a touch more modern. In the end, those are some our favorite design elements in the home.

We’re thrilled with the results of our collaboration and can’t recommend Jennifer and JSI more highly.
